Pete's Story – A Lifelong Passion for Proper Fish & ChipsSome people find their passion in life. Others are lucky enough to turn that passion into a living. For Pete, that passion has always been cooking good, old-fashioned fish and chips.It all began back in 1999.A young Pete had a dream. One day, he wanted to own his very own fish and chip shop. But before he could make that dream a reality, he knew there was something important he needed to do — learn the trade properly.So, he found himself working in one of the busiest fish and chip shops in the West Midlands, watching, listening and learning from experienced fryers who knew their craft.It wasn't long before Pete fell in love with the whole process. The sound of fresh fish sizzling in hot oil, the smell of golden batter, the preparation of freshly cut potatoes and, most importantly, the satisfaction of serving customers something they genuinely enjoyed.For Pete, frying fish and chips was never simply about putting food on a plate. It was about getting everything just right.The batter had to be light, golden and crispy. The fish had to be beautifully cooked, moist and flaky inside. The chips had to be fluffy, full of flavour and cooked to perfection.And Pete was determined to master it all.
